The Bell Family

Random ponderings on God, life, and the humor all around us

New Black and White Photos

So, I’ve been talking about doing this for a while, but I finally got around to making a little mural of black and white family photos to go above our living room couch.  Thanks to my brother (Michael C. Bell–another shameless plug for my brother’s music), I found out that I could get black 8.5″ x 11″ frames at the Dollar Tree for–you guessed it–one dollar each.  So I bought six of them, rummaged through the photos that we had, and made some select choices to feature in our living room.  I cropped and edited them in Photoshop to print off at home.  As I hope you’ll see, I tried to get a unique perspective on everyone.  A big thanks to those who also gave us pictures in the past that I used for this (I’ve given photo credits below).  I hope you like them as much as we do.

  1. Neato! I like! 🙂 – Katie

p.s. when are you guys coming to Owensboro? 😉

  2. We’re not sure, especially since both of our cars are in terrible shape right now. On our vacation, we ended up spending $300 in repairs (3 trips to the shop in one week), and that’s only because our amazing brother-in-law installed a part for us. If not, it would have been an additional $4-500. Yikes! We’re a little scared right now to travel very far at all until we can purchase a new vehicle around the end of the year, Lord willing. As soon as we can, though, we’re there. 🙂

  3. How gorgeous! Courtney you are so beautiful! I hope Bill tells you that every day LOL! Do you guys know how many black and white pics hanging up in my house were taken by Kacie? A ga-zillion!

  4. So cute! I’ve been considering updating our behind-the-sofa-wall-real-estate as well. 🙂 Great work guys!

  5. Yay!!!! Finally some black and whites. And they’re all great. Since I never got any bare newborn pics in black and white of either of the young ‘uns as I wanted to do, these will definitely do.

  6. how are you feeling, courtney?

  7. and again congrats
