Free Music (good stuff, I promise) Monday, Jan 5 2009

Our church, Sojourn, has now released a handful of CDs.  The most recent came out a year ago and featured eight Advent/Christmas songs.  The album is available for free download or pay-what-you-want.  I highly recommend them, even though we’re past Christmas now.  Only three of them sound like traditional Christmas songs anyway.  And I promise that there are no strings attached to it–it’s truly free if you enter five emails addresses (I know, because I did it to get the free downloads).  You can also hop over to Sojourn Music to hear samples or check out our other CDs.  Enjoy!

Unfortunately, I can’t get the widget to embed, so just go here to get the free downloads:-)

Music Advice Thursday, Feb 14 2008

I find myself getting into music ruts, and I think I have been in one for close to a year now.  Basically as far as Christian music goes I listen to Sojourn music, Sovereign Grace music, and a little Derek Webb.  Will you give me some ideas of additional music to listen to?  I prefer music with rich, gospel-centered lyrics over a specific music style, so any suggestions are welcomed.

Free Music Sunday, Mar 25 2007

I wanted to let any of you who read this to know about emusic. It’s a site where you can get a bunch of free music if you sign up for their thirty day trial offer. You’ll have to put in a credit card number, but it won’t charge anything if you cancel before the thrity days is up. There are many things they won’t have, but I would recommend two items in particular: any of the music by Sovereign Grace Music (very Christ-centered music) and “In the Stillness” by Michael C. Bell (a CD of relaxing music) which, by the way, was written and recorded by my brother, so check it out! Let me know if you have any questions about Emusic, what music to check out, or how to cancel before the thirty day trial ends.
